Application: Fits TiAL F38 wastegate

WASTEGATE® thermal insulating blankets from PTP are designed to minimize heat-soak transfer between the main body and actuator body of the wastegate. That helps reduce stress on the actuator diaphragm under extreme loads, high heat, and sharp temperature swings. The result is more stable wastegate-valve operation and more consistent turbocharger performance. Another key benefit of a WASTEGATE® blanket is protecting nearby lines and components from heat on the main body of the wastegate.

WASTEGATE® blankets are constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock (rated 1800°F direct heat / 2500°F radiant heat), formed into fabric and woven into a tight mesh. They are internally insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (rated 1832°F continuous / 2300°F peak), overlaid with high-temperature stainless steel mesh for durability and thermal resistance. The Lava construction is built for harsh conditions.
